[Beatrice's sitting on a log, with her faithful (and shy) Houndoom beside her. She looks cheerful, if a bit pale.]

I could finally get up from bed, after some days. I caught a cold when I fell in the water in Union Cave, but I'm fine now. Azalea is such a nice place! I love the smell of the forest... it's very different from the one in the world I come from.

[Pauses, thoughtful. This was not what she wanted to talk about tonight.]

Ah, I needed your advice! What would be the things you'd do when exploring alone? I've helped Lion write down the lists for supplies and other things, but I admit I'm not so sure on how to take care of those things.

I'll write it all down, it will be like an explorer's guide!

When... When Rosa took me outside the fence... I finally felt free. And then I opened my eyes here in Johto. A new world! So...!

So... I want to do things. I want to be strong. I... I want people to know I can be dependable too! That they don't need to be taking care of me!

[Stays in silence for a second, looking down... before her eyes are back again in the gear, and gives him a determined nod.]

Not if you lend them your strength as well. People grow stronger when they're together, and when you have the strength of your friends with you, there's nothing you can't do.

But I do not understand, Ryou... I'm not strong. How can they rely on me? Please, tell me...

There's more than one kind of strength.

[[he shifts a little in how he's sitting before continuing on]]

In my favorite game, the players are a group; normally playing different types of characters. Each character type has it's own strengths and weaknesses, like a fighter, who has a lot of physical strength and hit points, but is no good with things that require high intelligence scores. A mage has high intelligence and charisma, but can't defend against physical attacks.

Now, if you had a party of all one type, their weaknesses would only be greater, the fighters would have no way to heal themselves or get past tricky challenges, the mages would be too busy healing themselves from attack to defeat any strong monsters. It's only when those two types are together that the real strength of the party emerges. The mage can power up the fighter to be stronger than ever and the fighter can cover the mage so his magic is at his most powerful.

[[he gives a warm smile]] Support classes can be just as strong as strength classes, just in different ways. You just need to find that way in which you are strong so you can strengthen those you care about...

[[smiles warmly]] You can. It's a different kind of magic than you'd think, though.

My best friend back home always said that if you believe in something, you can make a miracle, and that when he had the power of our friendship behind him, that there was nothing that couldn't be overcome.

That's the magic behind a support class, something that even you or I can do.

So I can... make miracles? [Lets out a soft chuckle, mixed with a couple of sobs.] I believe... I believe they can do anything. My friends can do anything.
